Press Registration Rules & Requirements
Welcome, members of the press! We appreciate your interest in covering SoCal Muse Con, taking place on June 20th to the 22nd at the Palm Springs Convention Center and Renaissance Hotel. Below are the guidelines and requirements for press registration. Please read carefully before submitting your application.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a Press Badge, you must meet the following criteria:
Be an active journalist, editor, photographer, or content creator for a recognized media outlet (print, digital, or broadcast).
Provide proof of recent work (published within the last six months) related to pop culture, entertainment, or relevant topics.
Freelancers must submit a letter of assignment from a recognized publication or outlet.
Bloggers, vloggers, and influencers must have an established following and regularly post convention-related or pop-culture content.
Application Requirements
All applicants must submit the following:
A completed Press Registration Form.
A valid government-issued ID.
Proof of recent work (links or PDFs of articles, videos, or photographs from the last six months).
A letter of assignment (if applicable).
A link to your website, social media channels, or publication.
Press Badge Guidelines
Press Badges grant complimentary access to the convention floor and designated press areas but do not guarantee access to special events, panels, or interviews.
Press Badges are non-transferable and must be worn at all times.
Press must adhere to the convention's policies on photography, videography, and interviews.
Unauthorized live streaming, flash photography, or disruptive behavior will result in badge revocation.
Interview & Media Requests
Interview requests for special guests must be submitted in advance and are subject to approval.
Press may only film or photograph in designated areas unless otherwise authorized.
Press must respect attendees' and guests' privacy; consent is required for close-up photography or interviews.
Approval & Deadline
Press applications must be submitted no later than 5/1/2025.
Approval is at the discretion of SoCal Muse Con staff, and submission does not guarantee acceptance.
Approved applicants will receive confirmation via email by 5/30/2025.
By applying for a Press Badge, you agree to abide by all convention policies. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event.
